Spanish Springs Agility Training
The crew at an agility trial
games-weekend.jpg

The economy has severely impacted our event schedule this year.  We are focusing on ASCA events this year and have gotten off to a very nice start.

Early May 2009.  Our first ASCA stockdog trial.  Rockstar and Dixie made their debut on sheep.  We had a very nice  weekend and are thrilled to anounce that both Dixie handled by Sherry and Rockstar handled by Katrina earned their started sheep titles.    A great culmination  of all the hardwork and training we did over the winter.  Stockwork must be the single most difficult dog activity I have ever worked on learning.

End of May 2009.  NNASC ASCA agility trial .  First trial for Rockstar and Topaz.  First ASCA trial for Dixie and Heme.  Very very nice weekend for everybody.

Lacy debut in the veterans classes and had a wonderful time running limitedly  in Jumpers and Gamblers.  She qualified in 4 out of five jumpers runs and two out three runs in Gamblers to earn her Elite Veterans Gamblers and Jumpers titles.

Lapis ran wonderfully and finished her open jumpers, open gamblers and novice standard title this weekend.  Way to go little blue girl.

Aura was not feeling very well and was pulled from most of her runs but did manage a Q on Sunday in novice gamblers and novice standard.

Heme did really well also.  He finished his novice gamblers title and novice jumpers title.  He also got two Qualifying runs in Novice standard.  Good job Hemster.

Dixie continues to run great.  She earned her novice gamblers and novice jumpers as well as a leg in open jumpers.  Way to go Dixie Chick.

Rockstar is a speedball and needs a little work on focus and obstacle commitment but boy oh boy is he fun to run.  I need my running shoes on this boy.  He did earn his novice gamble title with lots of points.  He also ran two beautiful standard runs but we skipped the weave poles.  My Rockyroad boy still astounds me with his 100 percent effort at anything I try with him.

Topaz had some very nice runs but fizzled on me on Sunday.  She did get a single qualifying run in Novice Jumpers.  She also needs weave poles before our next trial.

All in all a very good showing for team Crystal Peak.
